Sports Physiotherapy
Injury management and performance care for athletes of every level.
What this actually involves
Getting back to sport is not the same as getting out of pain. Pain usually settles well before the tissue has the strength and control to handle sprinting, cutting or a full training load, and returning at that point is how one injury becomes a recurring one.
Our sports physiotherapy is built around that gap. We diagnose what actually happened, treat it hands-on to settle symptoms early, then rebuild strength, capacity and confidence against objective targets — so the decision to return is a measurement, not a guess.
Accurate diagnosis
A thorough assessment of the injury and the movement pattern behind it, with onward referral for imaging where it will change the plan.
Hands-on treatment
Manual therapy, soft tissue work and taping to settle symptoms and restore range in the early stages.
Sports injury rehabilitation
A structured strength and conditioning programme that rebuilds the tissue to the demands of your sport, not to a generic timeline.
Return-to-sport testing
Objective strength, hop and movement-quality criteria you have to meet before you are cleared to return.
Injury prevention screening
A movement, strength and control screen that identifies the limitations behind the injuries most common in your sport.
Badminton performance assessment
Court-specific movement, jump and shoulder assessment for badminton players, with a physiotherapist who competes internationally in the sport.
This is for you if…
You have an acute injury from training or competition
You have a niggle that only shows up at full pace or full load
You have returned from an injury before and it keeps coming back
You want to keep training through a manageable problem, safely

Before you book sports physiotherapy
Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?
No. Physiotherapists are first-contact primary practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly with us. If you have a GP-arranged EPC or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) referral, we're happy to accept it.
What are your fees for private patients?
Physiotherapy treatment for private patients will be charged at a private fee. Please call us on (03) 9111 5514 for further information regarding our private consultation fees.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
